Wraps and Rhythm

Join us on for Wraps and Rhythm, Saturday March 7 at 3pm!

You will begin the class by selecting your choice of colorful African headwrap. We will then learn the historical, social, and spiritual significance of the art of headwrapping We will provide step-by-step lesson on how to create eight head wrap designs that you can rock with any hair length or texture!

After a short break we will move to the dance studio room to learn the sacred art of African dance with instructor Tejumade Temidayo!

African dance is the embodiment of poetry, history, community and transformation. Let the beat of the drums move your body...an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in the rhythms and traditions of the Afrcian diaspora. Begin session with a warm up and then the start of the class builds on traditional West African dance techniques.
